Technical Project Lead - Infrastructure - Consumer Electronics - Amsterdam

They are in need of a Technical Project Leader to manage the IT infrastructure component of a number of their larger projects.
Projects can be initiated from the business or from within IT itself. Some deliverablews include:
- Help define and implement IT infra requirements, processes and procedures.
- Be a part of project teams to:
- provide input from an IT perspective
- make sure that IT requirements are defined
- make sure that development projects follow IT Infra standards & guidelines.
- make sure that IT deliverables are realized as planned
To be eligible for this position you'll need the following:
- a minimum of 5 yrs of hands-on experience with system administration of Linux-systems and/or J2EE-environements.
- 2-5 years experience in the “technical lead” role in IT projects.
- In depth knowledge of at least one of: Linux, MySQL, Oracle, Apache/PHP and/or any J2EE middleware.
- Good communication skills
- Basic project management skills
- Attention to detail and quality

As part of the map development group, you will be leading a team of GIS Analysts and requirements engineers to achieve the following:
- Ensure that all requirements for new features and releases of the maps and Datacore component are defined and inserted into the system for the ongoing release.
- Ensure that requirements reviews are done on time documents are updated for new features and releases.
- Produce investigation reports of GIS analysis of new territories, data formats and new feature content.
- Together with other team leaders, define quality acceptance criteria for different features and releases.
- Provide GIS services and data pre-processing for other teams.
- Develop algorithms of data processing with further intention of their automation.
To be eligible for this role you will need:
- 5 years of requirements management experience.
- 5+ years of GIS consultancy or software development.
- 3-5 years of team leading and/or project management experience.
- Excellent communication skills in writing and speaking

As a Mechanical Design Engineer your principal role will be to partake in the complete design cycle from Industrial Design to mass production. You'll be working within a multi-discipline team in the design of Personal Navigational devices and their accessories. There is also a strong element of Project Management and you'll be working closely with the Development team in UK/Netherlands/Asia, and the Manufacturing team in China. You will also tying together the Design and Manufacturing teams early in the development process to transfer design into prototyping and minimize issues during product ramp.
To be eligible for this role you'll need:
• Minimum 5 years experience in Consumer electronics field and knowledge of industry suppliers and their capabilities. Comfortable with MS Projects for project management, risk assessment, documentation and communication.
• Experience of dealing with far eastern contract manufacturers and design houses.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with basic understanding in other fields like RF and PCB.
• Must have an understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes such as injection molding, sheet metal, design for Manufacturability [DFM] and Design for Assembly [DFA].
• Possess a working knowledge of worst-case and statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning and geometric tolerancing.
